Hot Tot Detangler = AWESOME
Even though Cameron is getting older (11 now – can you believe it?), we still have to use detangler regularly. Her hair is really fine and really long and it is always full of tangles. We’ve used a lot of different products over the years, but it’s hard to find something that effectively removes the tangles but doesn’t leave the hair with a residue or greasy feeling. When I received a few samples of the Hot … Read entire article »

Skin Care Woes
Hi, I’m Kimberly, and I have to confess to having a horrible skin care regiment. In fact, I don’t have one. Some nights I wash my face with hot water and a rag. Some times, I grab one of Cameron’s facial cleanser wipes, and most nights, I just go to bed and wash my face in the shower the next morning (shh! don’t tell anyone!) So I’ve accepted two different skin care product reviews in the … Read entire article »

It Happens to the Best of Us
Whether it happens while we are pregnant or just happens as we age, I think it is safe to say that most all women will have stretch marks at some point in their life. I actually got my first ones in my tween years as I was growing at a rapid rate. And just as I think it’s safe to say that most all of us end up with stretch marks, I think it’s just … Read entire article »

School Year Worry: A Lice Visit
Each year as the school year is officially back and we are settled in to our school routines, there is always at least one lice scare. Because I teach at the same school as my daughter, I know when lice is going around, and I become paranoid. I swear my head starts itching from the moment I hear the word (yes, I’m itching right now as I write this post). As we enter the tenth week … Read entire article »

Bausch + Lomb Soflens Daily Disposable Contact Lenses = Stressfree
My daughter has now worn 30 pairs of her Soflens Daily Disposable Contacts and she is loving them. Her number one comment – how much less stress there is to take care of them. She loves that she gets a new pair each day. In fact, she loved rubbing it in on our last shopping trip when I was buying contact lens solution that she didn’t really need solution anymore since she just throws them … Read entire article »

Beauty Essential: Facial Cleansing
I’m not sure about you guys, but each of most of us females reach a point in our lives where we need to wash our faces daily to have a good complexion, and it doesn’t matter if you wear makeup, go outside and sweat, etc, you still want to give your face some extra TLC to keep it looking good. I have a horrible time deciding on facial products though. I try everything, but always wonder … Read entire article »

Summer Fun = Summer Burn
It doesn’t matter what sunscreen I use, I will have 2 to 3 sunburns every summer, and I will come home from the hayfield looking this this MANY times. I’ve tried various brands of sunscreen, lotions and sprays, etc. I’ve repeated and lathered up regularly, but if I spend time in the sun (which I’m going to do every summer), I’m going to be pink at times. I hate it, but it is a fact … Read entire article »

Review: Kiss My Face Lip Balm
One thing we tend to go through a lot of is lip balm. While I’m not very picky as long as I always have some on hand, Cameron (my daughter) is picky. It has to taste good. But I do not like to sacrifice good taste for poor product. I know, right? I’m a horrible mother, but I want that baby’s lips protected. So what do you do? We have probably tried almost every brand of … Read entire article »

Saving Money on Contacts
One of the most expensive items in my yearly budget is my yearly contact lens purchasing and the monthly purchases of saline solution. I’m always looking for ways to save even just a little on these items such as using coupons, shopping at 1800contacts, and watching those sales ever so closely. There are so many different types of contact solutions out there, it’s hard to know which ones to buy. From Blairex saline solution to Bausch & Lomb to generics – are they all the same? Are the more expensive brands worth the price? Being that I want to save money, I like to think cheap is good, but these are my eyes, and as weak as they are, I’d like to keep them in good health. So what is my answer? … Read entire article »

Johnsons Baby Oil – For Mom?
I can remember lathering in Johnson’s Baby Oil before tanning as a teenager – this was our ticket to a good tan we thought. But then after becoming a mom, I set aside the Johnson’s products as a product for my baby, not for me. Boy was I wrong. Unbeknown to me, Johnson’s actually makes a line of products that us mom’s can really enjoy personally – Johnson’s Shea & Cocoa Butter line of baby oil products. I am a big fan of Shea & Cocoa Butter so when I heard about this, I already expected positive results. I was not disappointed one bit. I work hard at skin moisturizing as I tan in tanning beds and that seems to really dry my skin out. In addition, … Read entire article »

Review & Freebie: Outlast Hand Sanitizer
I recently had the chance to review the Outlast Long Lasting Hand Sanitizer. As a teacher and mom, I am big on the need for clean hands to help the spread of any diseases so I was super thrilled when I received notice of this opportunity. I was even more thrilled when they offered to send me multiple small bottles that I could share with others. I decided to share them with other teachers at my school for use in their classrooms as well as giving a couple bottles to some of my students who are more conscious of their hand sanitization. I then waited a week and sent out emails or caught people in the hall and asked what they had thought. Everyone had a positive … Read entire article »
