Summer is the worst time for my washer.  Why? First off, we change clothes more – working my washer over more, and then there’s all the beach towels. It doesn’t matter how many times I yell say it, we still use different towels every time we swim.  Oh, and those towels are wet and sometimes sit for days before I wash them.

And then there’s the fact that my washer and dryer are outside in the shed.  It’s hot here in Texas which means two things – 1. I put off doing laundry because I have to go out in the heat to do so and I don’t want to and 2. Because I don’t want to go outside, sometimes the clothes sit in the washer for too long.

After clothes sit outside in the washer for very long, they start to smell “mildewy.” It doesn’t take long either.  If I get sidetracked for very long at all, the clothes get that smell and I have to rewash them.  UGH!  But rewashing them doesn’t help the washer.
