Pre New Years Resolution

I didn’t want on new Year’s to start correcting my bad habits. I am back to counting calories and exercising. I have thought about joining richmond gym, but I still don’t think I will be faithful and will end up losing my money. I’m going back to school in January, and adding that on top of my already full plate is going to be STRESSFUL. I don’t know that if I wait until New Year’s to make this resolution that I could get into a good habit by the 18th (when I start school), but hopefully if I start now, it will be a good habit by then to eat better and exercise more. *sigh* The joys of growing older. … Read entire article »

Summer Workout Day 7

In brief due to the loss of a family member Yesterday I decided to start the week with major force.  I walked 3 miles with the Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home: Walk Your Belly Flat (2009) dvd. It was a major workout (that I’m still feeling today). This was the first Leslie Sansone dvd I’ve had with a countdown clock and that was really neat. It was a great motivator when you wanted to quit to be able to think “only x more minutes. I can do this.” It was a “rest day” for the 20 Second Fitness Routine For breakfast, I had a bowl of Special K.  For lunch, a grilled cheeseburger.  I was at the hospital at dinner time and skipped it all together. … Read entire article »

Summer Fitness – Day 6

Summer Fitness – Day 6

Yesterday was back on track for fitness and a little better eating habits. Let’s start with my food: I started another morning with a bowl of Special K. I’d rather have eggs, but that would require a trip to the grocery store. LOL   For lunch, I had a chocolate Slim Fast shake. For a mid day snack, I had a bowl of sugar-free jello.  And we finished out uur day with dinner -  we had baked … Read entire article »

Summer Fitness – Day 5

Summer Fitness – Day 5

Yesterday was the 5th day of my new summer healthy/fitness routine. I am proud that I am sticking to the exercise, but I really blew it with the food.  Well, it could have been worse, but it wasn’t up to par. I started my day off with a bowl of Special K – so I started it doing ok, but then lunch time came around and my niece was here so I needed a quick and … Read entire article »

Summer Fitness – Day 4

Summer Fitness – Day 4

Yesterday was the 4th day of my workout regiment.  I overslept and did not do my morning mile walk.  By the time I woke up, we had to rush to get to our daily appointment.  Oops. I did start my day reasonably healthy food wise though. I had a bowl of plain Special K for breakfast to reduce the calories.  When I went to pick up Cameron from her summer activity program, they were celebrating the … Read entire article »

20 Second Fitness Day 3

20 Second Fitness Day 3

I started out my third day of fitness with  a mile walk with Leslie Sansone.  My plan is to start each morning with this mile walk.  I am currently completing her 5 Day Slim Down where she gives you a different mile each day. Yesterday’s focus (while still walking a mile) was arms.  And after completing the mile and doing all of her arm movements while I was walking, my arms did hurt.  Not a … Read entire article »

20 Second Fitness Day 2

20 Second Fitness Day 2

Yesterday was my second day of 20 Second Fitness.  I completed the warmup day 2 workout.  It was a little longer, 5 minutes, but I though the exercise was still easily manageable.  It was kind of tricky though because we did the 4 minutes of workout and then had to start it again.  Unfortunately, we procrastinated and didn’t do it until late so I didn’t feel like turning on the Wii Fit for a weigh … Read entire article »

Workout Report: Day 1

Workout Report: Day 1

Yesterday was the first day of my new workout routine, 20 Second Fitness.  Before beginning, we (Cameron and I) did a weigh in and measurements so that we could track (and report to you) on our progress as we go along.  I was excited to note that I had lost 5 pounds since March and have not been doing any exercising – only slight moderating of my diet.  This was really motivating for me to … Read entire article »

Swim Suit Season Around the Corner

Swimsuit season is just around the corner and it seems everyone is looking for a way to achieve some quick weight loss. The current method at my house – jumping on the trampoline. We haven’t been on scales to see the results, but we know we ache after an hour of jumping…and if you hurt, you must be accomplishing something right? Also in our house, we are uping our water intaking. Can’t wait for summer!! … Read entire article »

It’s Summer Time!!

Yep.  I’ve been not posting (I know, I know), but it’s now summer time.  Maybe it won’t be “officially” summer for 3 more weeks, but once school is out, we consider it summer at my house. I’ve had 2 pool naps since Friday – that’s summer!  We’ve cooked more outside than in – that’s summer!  Cameron is signed up for the summer reading program as well as dance and twirling – that’s summer.  The house is getting cleaned room by room, top to bottom – that ‘s summer, and I dn’t like my weight and have to do something about it – that’s summer.  I’ve been looking at some different exercise videos and I think I’ve got a plan for daily exercise … Read entire article »

Review & Giveaway: Let’s Get Fit with Sane Fitness

I tried to schedule this review/giveaway last week over at All About Kimberly, but for some reason it didn’t post.  I just drafted another review this afternoon, and it is doing something really funny.  I can’t figure it out.  So here  is try 3 (third time is the charm right?). I am constantly struggling with my weight. I know I need to lose some weight. I know I need to get more fit, but I seem to be so tired that I’m not accomplishing anything this year.  Or at least I wasn’t.  I’ve been a firm believer in my WiiFit, but it takes time and lately my time has been limited. I’ve also been away from home a lot.  The solution – Sane Fitness. This is such a simple and unique idea. … Read entire article »
