When I was first presented with the opportunity to review Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales for the Wii, I almost past thinking that my daughter might be too old for this game (even though she does still love the movie). Boy am I glad I didn’t! Not only has my daughter (age 10) enjoyed this game, so have I! The game is based on the popular shorts that you see where Mater is telling stories (typically … Read entire article »

Guitar Hero: Nintendo DS

Cameron had to have a Nintendo DS a few years ago when all of her uncles had one.  It was not important that she was 4 and they were 16 (or older).  They had them and she NEEDED one.  Being the mean wonderful mommy I am, I refused to buy her one but did buy her a handheld educational game system with promises that if she actually played it and took care of it, we’d look at DS’s in the future.  Leave it to those “uncles” to ruin my promise.  The next Christmas one uncle bought her the DS, and two others went together and bought her a Wii.  Thanks – I love you brothers of mine!  :) I was quickly finding though that I enjoyed the DS (and Wii too … Read entire article »

Pirates Vs Ninjas Dodge Ball

After showing you this video clip of the game Pirates vs Ninjas Dodgeball, I was honored to be selected to be a part of a review for this game by Role Mommy and SouthPeak Games. This game was a blast, but a little more violent than games we typically purchase, thus it’s 10+ rating I guess. When the game begins you choose how many players (up to 4), your character, your team (Pirates, Ninjas, Mushroom Men, Aliens, Robots, Zombies, Monsters) and where you want this battle to take place.  You then choose do you want to play Dodge Ball or Dodge Brawl – obviously Dodge Brawl is a little more intense while Dodge Ball is probably more like what you played in elementary and middle school (just not with these characters). … Read entire article »
