Health & Safety
Have you read about Tanner Jameson’s unfortunate death this summer? Tanner was only 13 and died when his heart stopped at Eagleton Middle School? There was an AED on campus, but it was nowhere near him and his coach couldn’t get to it in time. Of course, there’s no way to know if the AED would have saved his life, but his mother, Rhonda Harrill, made it her goal to get more AED’s on campus. Do you know how many AED’s are on your child’s school campus? Or if there is one at the locations where they participate in after school activities? If you have never investigated this, you might want to look into it. … Read entire article »

Warranties
Do you get emails and phone calls constantly trying to sale you extended warranties? Just this week I’ve received 3 offers for an extended car warranty (sorry, guys…my car is working on 200,00 miles…no warranty for me) and an offer for a rv extended warranty (I don’t even own an RV people!). I heard on the news Friday morning that because of the economy and rising stamp costs that businesses are sending out fewer “junk” mails but I’ve not noticed any decline here. I have 2 addresses – a post office box and a mailbox here at the house – and I’m still stopping at the trash can with the mail before I take it in the house and throwing it away daily. Behind But Catching Up
I completely over estimated the impact of going back to work and have completely neglected my blogging life this past couple weeks, but plan to focus the next couple days on catching up – I have winners to announce, contests to put up, and many reviews to write. Hopefully now that school is in session, my routines can be established and my blogging can come back to regularly posts. I have been so busy and hectic, I’ve REALLY been wishing I could hire someone to help around the house, maybe with secretarial work. My list of phone calls to make and emails to send is long enough I was thinking I might even need my own call center services. I’ve acquired some organizational tools though and hope to … Read entire article »

Yea….because she just really needed one. Now does she know how to play piano? Of course not. Does she want to take lessons? NOPE! She just wants a keyboard. Yea. The good news? It didn’t come with a power cord, it came with batteries! Hmm…..wonder how long those batteries are going to last! :) … Read entire article »

Thinking Wisely
I’ve got the bug – the bug for a NEW CAR. Not just any car, a specific one – I want one of the new Camaro’s. I’m in love. The last time I wanted a car this bad was in 2003, and I walked in the dealership and told them to draw up the paperwork – I wanted it. So this time I’m staying THE HECK AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIPS!!! Yep. I’m a sucker for a car. And while I still love my 2004 Grand Prix, I look at the Camaro’s now entering the lot and I dream! … Read entire article »
