Searching For Coupons
Do you search for coupons or discount codes before every online purchase? I’m amazed to find out how many people I know in real life do not because I do EVERY TIME. If I’m going to purchase it online, I’m going to search various sites for the best price and search for any type of promotional code to make it even cheaper. I also subscribe to a few different blogs that send out coupons or discounts so that I can snatch things up at great prices. Today my search for onecall coupons helped me score a great price on the camera that I really want. I just need to allow myself to spend the money on it this close to Christmas. … Read entire article »

Christmas List Time
It’s that time – time for me to officially make my own wish list and start my list of ideas for others. As is typical, I had a hard time starting my list, but after I got going, I had about 15 -20 different things from smaller items like a pair of binoculars to a dream IPad! I started listing my ideas for my daughters and of course easily listed 20 – 25 items I’d love to get them (obviously unless I win the lottery between now and then, it will get cut down drastically). But then for the rest of my family and friends – no ideas at all. *ugh* Going to spend lots of extra time over the next few weeks browsing. I get a Christmas bonus in … Read entire article »

On a Mission
I’m on a mission to find unique baby shower invitations. If I get to plan the baby shower I am hoping that I do, I want it to be the best one ever and that means that it must start correctly – with the invitation. I love the many different looks and types that are available now and have no idea of how you’d ever pick the right one. It’s crazy!! There are so many different vendors and styles that I could spend hours looking at them, hours upon hours. How will I ever decide? … Read entire article »

Back to School With Safeway (Contest)
Two things I love – saving money and helping with my daughter’s education. Thanks to Safeway, you can do both this fall as your children go back to school. How can you do this? The 10% Goes Back to School Program is a merger between the Safeway family of stores and Box Tops for Education. It seems that almost everyone knows a child that goes to a school who saves Box Tops now. This has become a … Read entire article »
Lesson Learned: READ!!!
They say you should learn something every day. What did I learn today? To read the packaging and pay attention to what you are reading when shopping. What did I do? I outgrew my 500 gb external hard drive so I bought a new terabyte one. The problem? It requires electricity! Yea…I have to move to a power cord and plug it in to use it. BLAH! So does anyone know if that is standard with hard drives this large? Or could I still get one that isn’t. I wouldn’t mind having 2 backups of everything so it’s not a real big deal to buy another? Input? … Read entire article »

New Appliance Shopping
My stove has completely bit the dust so I’ve been doing some searching for good deals on appliances. Of course I’ve shopped the regular stores, but I thought I might find some new locations online. I found Home Everything. Home Everything has so many appliances (even children’s appliances for playhouses). The few stoves they had were not all that cheap, but what I did find that I thought I’d share with everyone is that you can pay for your items with eBillme which has home everything coupons if you are spending over $500. If you are in the market, you might want to check them out. The current deal $50 off orders of $500 or more expires July 31st. … Read entire article »

How Much and Where to Buy
We are remodeling Cameron’s room. She got a new loft bed. I’ve never heard of this, but when I started looking, I new it was exactly what we were looking for. She has a small room with a low ceiling. Which means when you get all of her belongings in there it looks REALLY cramped. The loft bed is like a top bunk bed without a bottom, but it is shorter than a traditional bunk bed (which works great with our low ceiling). It has allowed us to use more floor space now that the bed is off the floor. We ended up putting mini dressers to put under her bed. Now I want to take her large dresser out of her … Read entire article »

Review: Unique Painted Gifts for the Family from Tatutina
From organizing with a flair to simply doing some redecorating that is sure to catch your guests’ eyes, Tatutina is somewhere, I recommend you check out. Tatutina is a small mother-daughter business run out of Massachusetts that produces painted gifts for the entire family. They have been in business since 1984 and are continuously adding more products to their collection. They offer organization items such as Take Out Menu Boxes, Recipe Boxes, Keepsake Boxes, Storage totes, and Baby Memory Boxes. You’ll also find cute decorating items such as bookends, peg boards, waste baskets, and wooden letters that you can use to spell out a child’s name, “nursery,” “library,” or anything else you can dream up. One of the cutest items I think they offer is the Tatutina Medals where you can order … Read entire article »

Continuing to Budget Shop
In looking for ways to “dress up” the house but stay on budget, I’ve started looking for discount furniture. I’d like to add a couple pieces to the house and I’d really like to replace the entertainment center. Locally we have a couple places that deal in just discount furniture. I’m not sure the story behind the furniture, but I’ve bought multiple pieces of furniture from them including my couch and love seat. And then we have some not discount dealers that just NEED the business and are selling at great prices. If you aren’t in a financial crunch, this may just be the time to shop for some of those larger purchases around your house. … Read entire article »

Shopping Wisely
How has this economic turn impacted your shopping? I have attempted to go back to clipping coupons (though they’ve stopped carrying EVERY major Texas newspaper in my town!) and will start adding Kroger grocery shopping to my list as they double and triple coupons and you get .10 a gallon off your gas every time you spend $100 in groceries (hey! I do that every time I walk in the dang grocery store). I watched a special last night on communities joining together and buying wholesale products and dividing them amongst the friends to get good deals. I’ve been trying to decide if renewing my SAM’S membership would be worth it. … Read entire article »
