How to Make Tummy Time Fun

How to Make Tummy Time Fun

You might remember that I recently posted about the great opportunity we have to be an Infantino Test Drive Mom.  The first shipment for review was a set of toys and fun small gadgets, but this time was the Right Angle Tummy Triangle.  We have lots of babies in the family right now including a grandson that was born last week and a niece on the way, and I can already tell that we are … Read entire article »

My New “Go To” Baby Shower Gift

My New “Go To” Baby Shower Gift

I never know what to buy for baby showers.  I usually pick something off the registry, but I like to add some other goodies as well so that there is some element of surprise when the mom-to-be opens them. I think I have found what I’ll be buying for my extras from now on – Infantino toys. I am proud to announce I’ve been selected as an Infantino Test Drive Mom and will be sharing … Read entire article »

As Seen on TV: Glow Crazy Distance Doodler

As Seen on TV: Glow Crazy Distance Doodler

My daughter loves arts and crafts. Whether it be a coloring pad, doodling pad, beads for necklaces and bracelets, making birdhouses or treasure boxes, Cameron just loves to be creative. When we received the Glow Crazy Distance Doodler, I knew before I even showed it to her that she was going to be ecstatic. And ecstatic she was. It was like I had bought her the most amazing treasure out there. What is the Glow Crazy … Read entire article »

Clue World of Harry Potter

Clue World of Harry Potter

A friend has vanished. WHO did it? WHAT spell or item did they use? WHERE was the student attacked? In the game Clue World of Harry Potter, you must play as Harry, Ron, Ginny, Luna, or Neville to solve the mystery of your missing friend. Over the years, I have become a fan of themed games. I would rather play Disney Monopoly than the regular versions. We have several themed versions of Monopoly, and also Life, … Read entire article »

Review/Giveaway: Penguins of Madagascar

During the school year we try to have a Family Movie Night at least once a week (though sometimes it ends up being once every 2 weeks when life is so busy), but during the summer, we have 2 or 3 movie nights a week.  It’s nice knowing that we can stay up late, cuddle and play while we watch a movie, and then sleep in the next morning if we stayed up too late. When I received an email from MomSpark that I could sign up to receive a copy of the new DVD, The Penguins of Madagascar Operation: DVD Premier, my daughter was literally playing her Madagascar Game Cube game.  When she sorted out the Game Cube games a few months ago (as we no play them on the … Read entire article »

Christmas Wish List

Have you started thinking about what you will get your children for Christmas? My dad wants to build Cameron a wooden tree house and says he’ll add a little to it each birthday/Christmas.  I think it would be neat to add a playground to it so I’ve been looking at swing sets. (shh!)  I thought I might go with him and have him add on at least swings to the tree house and maybe a winding slide coming off of it.  We’ll see if she comes up with anything she really “needs” between now and then. … Read entire article »

Review: Caring Corners Daisy Greenway Interactive Camper

With the holiday season fast approaching, you are probably looking for unique ideas for the little ones on your list.  As my daughter gets older, I find that I have a harder time buying for our younger children on our list. One of my best friends has a daughter that is younger and when we have the opportunity to review a new toy that Cameron thinks might be “too young” for her. When we received our Caring Corners Daisy Greenway, I immediately thought that I knew just who would like to help me with this review, and I made the phone call, and we scheduled a playdate. She was so excited because not only did we receive camper, but she also got the chance to play with 2 accessories – the … Read entire article »

Road Trip = BORED?

With labor day coming up (for many the official end of summer), I know many families are planning their final summer trips – and for many of us that means ROAD TRIP!  Labor Day weekend always means one thing for my family – a trip to Dallas for my nephew’s birthday party. Many cars now come with plenty of entertainment for their children, and if not you can buy portable DVD players and video games to entertain your child. My daughter does have a DS, but for the most part we still focus on seeing the world outside of the car.  We play games where we see how many different state license plates we can find, look for “slug bugs,” and our latest game is looking for yellow cars. While all … Read entire article »
