Night 1 at Blogher

So yes…Blogher doesn’t officially start until tomorrow morning but tonight was great!!

Checked into the room and got settled in which was a relief after the airport journey.  The only problem – the WIFI SUCKS!  yep.  It shows up as if it should work great BUT it’s all an illusion.  You connect to the network, but get no damn Internet!  What’s up with that Sheraton?  Didn’t you know that all the participants at a BLOGGING CONFERENCE would expect Internet!  You should have been ready for this!

I hit up the Mom Central/Johnson & Johnson Cocktail party and met some great women (and had a free drink)!

But the real excitement was at Shula’s where several of us MomDot members met up for an amazing 2 1/2 hour dinner.  We visited, we drank, we ate, and we shared swag – and let me tell you everyone had some great sponsors so there was some excellent swag.  I can’t imagine how anyone else will compare with the bag of goodies I brought back to the room tonight.  Everything from makeup to kiddie stuff, hats and shirts, even a personalized makeup bag with my button on it.  I’m talking everything was in this big Mom Bomb bag and it seemedl ike it had everything you could think of but maybe diet pills.  THANKS EVERYONE!  You are all AMAZING!

I  can’t wait for tomorrow when the actual sessions begin and I get to do even more networking!

I am a single mom who loves to share her opinions with her friends. I am the oldest sibling of 3 brothers and 2 sisters. They have given me 8 nieces and nephews that I love spoiling every chance I have. We live in a small rural community in East Texas. I teach junior high and high school classes including high school English and business and technology courses to junior high and high school students. I enjoy blogging on various sites, keeping up with family and friends on Twitter, Facebook, and a few special forums, reading, almost all technology, and playing logic games. We are a Disney family taking trips to Walt Disney World or cruising with Disney almost every year.
