A New Cell Phone – the LG DoublePlay for TMobile Customers

This post brought to you by LG DoublePlay™. All opinions are 100% mine. I am admittedly a cell phone junkie. Every time I get a new phone, whether I love it or not, I’m ready to try out the newest one within six months. I absolutely still love the phone I’m using now (bought in August), but I do miss my keyboard.  I love touch screens, but I’m not big on only having a touch screen. I send over 1,000 texts a month, and I just like the full qwerty keyboard, which the new LG DoublePlay™ has.  I miss that feature.  The LG DoublePlay also has TWO touch screens allowing you to multitask while on your phone.  That is the first I’ve heard of a phone with that feature (and I’m intrigued). … Read entire article »

School Breaks = Clean, Sort, Remove

School Breaks = Clean, Sort, Remove

Each break over the last year we’ve had from school, I’ve tackled another area of my house and tried to thoroughly go through everything and remove as much as I could from our house. There’s only one problem – what to do with it when I remove it. I don’t have a truck, and frequently it’s enough that either it won’t  fit it my car (a large item) or there’s so much that it will … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendation: Uno Roboto

Holiday Recommendation: Uno Roboto

One of my favorite gifts to give is board games.  Both of my “baby” brothers are now married and each household will be getting some family board games this year.  When talking to my oldest daughter (also married this year) yesterday and asking what she’d like for her “cheaper” gifts this year, she said, “We need more board games.” One game that we received this year that we have thoroughly enjoyed (and that I plan on … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendation: Stocking Stuffers for Teens/Tweens or Teacher Gift

Holiday Recommendation: Stocking Stuffers for Teens/Tweens or Teacher Gift

As my daughter grows older, it is getting harder and harder to pick out those little gifts.  She wants expensive technology now – not stickers and toys and candy.  But I’m afraid this Mama can’t ‘give her all those technology wishes. So how do you make that transition from little girl to tween? What do you put in her stocking? One thing I’ve done the last couple years though is give her an assortment of … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendation: Scrabble Turbo Slam

Holiday Recommendation: Scrabble Turbo Slam

We are a family of gamers – not video gamers (though we do a fair share of that as well) but board gamers or card gamers. We love our board games and card games. We have a five shelf book shelf that’s about 6 foot tall covered in games.  I am big on keeping our television turned off for large periods of times forcing us to spend time together and we’ve found that board games … Read entire article »

Help Unlock a Cure for Breast Cancer

Help Unlock a Cure for Breast Cancer

I have been using Master Lock products since fifth grade (when I had my first locker). When it comes to protecting my valuable, I have always trusted the Master Lock brand. Additionally, I always try to give to charity each year, and any cause that is supporting breast cancer awareness or research that comes my way, I try to support. I especially like the new trend of “pink” products where a portion of sales goes … Read entire article »

Heavy Duty Rings

I’ve been looking for rings that can withstand some pretty rough treatment and still look good. In this search tungsten bands at MensTungstenOnline.com. They seem to be really nice looking rings and super strong.  I needed this for a gift for a special guy on my Christmas list that I know will be really rough on his jewelry as he works construction and his hands take a beating daily (which means the rings will as well).  I’ve looked at several sites but keep coming back to the selection at  Men’s Tungsten Online. It seems like they have the best selection that I can find, and their prices are on par as well. In fact, I’m having a hard time deciding between the different rings. … Read entire article »

The Voyages of Young Doctor Dolittle

The Voyages of Young Doctor Dolittle

We recently received The Voyages of Young Doctor Dolittle produced by Phase 4 Films to review.  I have to admit that I wasn’t overly excited when it first arrived. I’m not sure why, but I instantly thought of those “offbrand” fairy tale movies that after you’ve seen a Disney one, it just can’t keep your attention.  My 4 year old niece was staying with us when it arrived though, and she had the opposite reaction. … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendation for the Hard to Shop For: FlipFlip Wines

Holiday Recommendation for the Hard to Shop For: FlipFlip Wines

It has been a long time since I had drank any wine, when I went to a friend’s birthday party, and she was serving wine to celebrate. After that party, I started having a glass of wine here and there with dinner and remembered that I did in fact like winding down in the evenings with good food and good drink. One wine that I have found to be affordable but still high quality is flipflop … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendations: Unique Stocking Stuffer from Vapur

Holiday Recommendations: Unique Stocking Stuffer from Vapur

When we travel, we always take our own water bottles with us – particularly when we go to Disney. In the last year, the community water where we go to school has gone down hill, and we are almost always under a boil water notice. In fact, the water company has installed purified water machines in all of our buildings. So now we are carrying our own water bottles to school. This is not a … Read entire article »

Unique Horns

Do you have one of those people on your list that are impossible to buy for? My brother is the impossible to shop for person on my list. He is grown but still not out on his own so he doesn’t really have a house to buy things for (or even a home). I’m always looking for something that he hasn’t thought of. He is really big into his truck so I frequently look for things to make his truck stand out.  This year I am looking at TrainHornsDelivered.com. They have train horns for trucks that I think would make his the only truck in our area with a train horn kits installed. … Read entire article »
