Holiday Recommendations for Baby: MAM Teether and Pacifiers

Holiday Recommendations for Baby: MAM Teether and Pacifiers

When you have little bitty babies to shop for during the holidays, it is hard to find them gifts sometimes. The babies in our family have all received tons of clothes. My daughter has actually asked that I NOT give my grandson any clothes until he’s past 12 months size (not that I listen since I gave him two new Christmas onesies last week). Our babies are all pretty must too small for many toys … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendation: Zillionz Talking Cash Register

Holiday Recommendation: Zillionz Talking Cash Register

As I have mentioned before, I’m all about imaginative play (versus sitting in front of the television or a game system).  My daughter is probably considered too old for many of her toys by others, but because I’ve always encouraged creative play, I think she still enjoys many toys that require her imagination that other tweens wouldn’t look twice at if they were making a wish list. She loves to play kitchen and shopping when her … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendation: Zillionz Counting Money Jar

Holiday Recommendation: Zillionz Counting Money Jar

My daughter is a piggy bank fanatic.  She has three different Disney banks, 2 pigs, a Tootsie roll bank, and a few others.  She spreads out her change in each of her banks as well.  So I’ve decided to add to her collection this year with an electronic Money jar the Zillionz Counting Money Jar which will count the money as she puts in in the jar. About the Counting Money Jar: Slip your coins into the … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendations: Backyard Safari Butterfly Habit

Holiday Recommendations: Backyard Safari Butterfly Habit

When my daughter was in the 4th grade, they learned the life cycle of a butterfly and the entire class raised butterflies. This is something that has stuck in her head for another year. She frequently talks about butterflies, catepillars, or some other lesson she learned during this unit, so I thought this would make a great holiday gift this year and recommend it for the hard to shop for or curious tween on your … Read entire article »

Skin Care Woes

Skin Care Woes

Hi, I’m Kimberly, and I have to confess to having a horrible skin care regiment.  In fact, I don’t have one.  Some nights I wash my face with hot water and a rag. Some times, I grab one of Cameron’s facial cleanser wipes, and most nights, I just go to bed and wash my face in the shower the next morning (shh! don’t tell anyone!) So I’ve accepted two different skin care product reviews in the … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendation: CAT Toys

Holiday Recommendation: CAT Toys

When my daughter found out she was having a boy, I have to admit that I was a little scared. I only had daughters. I didn’t know what to buy for a little boy? And boy clothes…well, they just weren’t what had caught my eye in the store – ever! It didn’t take many trips through the boy clothes and down the toy aisles though until I had adjusted and looked forward to spoiling that … Read entire article »

It Happens to the Best of Us

It Happens to the Best of Us

Whether it happens while we are pregnant or just happens as we age, I think it is safe to say that most all women will have stretch marks at some point in their life. I actually got my first ones in my tween years as I was growing at a rapid rate. And just as I think it’s safe to say that most all of us end up with stretch marks, I think it’s just … Read entire article »

VTech Connect to CELL Solves Our Phone Problems

VTech Connect to CELL Solves Our Phone Problems

About two years ago, I had our landline disconnected. Since that point, we are a cell phone only family.  Most of the time, it works great, but occasionally, we run into a few problems. The number one problem is that I can hear the phone ringing, but can’t find it. The second is that while I don’t mind sharing the number with my daughter, I don’t like her necessarily running off with my phone. We … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendation: B Kids Toys

Holiday Recommendation: B Kids Toys

We have two brand new babies in the family and another that was born in May so I have been on the hunt for the last six months or so for the best baby products out there. With Christmas approaching, I have to admit to looking closely at toys because every baby needs to receive tons of toys for Christmas right? But baby toys are something I’m picky about. I want safe, and I want … Read entire article »

Holiday Recommendation: Morphology

Holiday Recommendation: Morphology

I am always looking for gifts to give my girlfriends. While I know them so well, it seems that I have the hardest time picking out gifts for them. Children are so much easier to shop for. I always buy my nieces and nephews games, and this year, I might have just found a game that I can give to some adults as well – Morphology. Morphology reminds me somewhat of Cranium if you have … Read entire article »

Bad On My Diet: Kroger’s The Truly Awesome Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies

I have been consciously working on losing weight (I can now take off my jeans that were snug without unbuttoning them!!), but one thing that blew my diet for a few days were the Kroger’s The Truly Awesome Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies that I received as part of a BzzAgent campaign. I love finding a good deal on things my family loves, and I have to admit that while we can pass on most sweet, both my daughters and I love cookies and milk (hmm…maybe we should become Santa helpers?). The Kroger’s The Truly Awesome Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies are just as good as the name brand cookies I buy when they are on sale.  In fact, I was given two boxes by BzzAgent, and we’ve used up both of those boxes, … Read entire article »

Pre New Years Resolution

I didn’t want on new Year’s to start correcting my bad habits. I am back to counting calories and exercising. I have thought about joining richmond gym, but I still don’t think I will be faithful and will end up losing my money. I’m going back to school in January, and adding that on top of my already full plate is going to be STRESSFUL. I don’t know that if I wait until New Year’s to make this resolution that I could get into a good habit by the 18th (when I start school), but hopefully if I start now, it will be a good habit by then to eat better and exercise more. *sigh* The joys of growing older. … Read entire article »
