With labor day coming up (for many the official end of summer), I know many families are planning their final summer trips – and for many of us that means ROAD TRIP! Labor Day weekend always means one thing for my family – a trip to Dallas for my nephew’s birthday party.
Many cars now come with plenty of entertainment for their children, and if not you can buy portable DVD players and video games to entertain your child. My daughter does have a DS, but for the most part we still focus on seeing the world outside of the car. We play games where we see how many different state license plates we can find, look for “slug bugs,” and our latest game is looking for yellow cars. While all of this is fun, for a 9 year old those last few yours can still equal boredom without some careful planning.
Thanks to Rand McNally and RoleMommy, I have a new form of “car-tainment” for our upcoming trip. Rand McNally has introduced their Boredom Breakers to “bring families together, encouraging conversation, laughter and fun making the miles fly by for moms and kids on the go.”
