As Seen on TV: Glow Crazy Distance Doodler

As Seen on TV: Glow Crazy Distance Doodler

My daughter loves arts and crafts. Whether it be a coloring pad, doodling pad, beads for necklaces and bracelets, making birdhouses or treasure boxes, Cameron just loves to be creative. When we received the Glow Crazy Distance Doodler, I knew before I even showed it to her that she was going to be ecstatic. And ecstatic she was. It was like I had bought her the most amazing treasure out there. What is the Glow Crazy … Read entire article »

Clue World of Harry Potter

Clue World of Harry Potter

A friend has vanished. WHO did it? WHAT spell or item did they use? WHERE was the student attacked? In the game Clue World of Harry Potter, you must play as Harry, Ron, Ginny, Luna, or Neville to solve the mystery of your missing friend. Over the years, I have become a fan of themed games. I would rather play Disney Monopoly than the regular versions. We have several themed versions of Monopoly, and also Life, … Read entire article »

Family Game Night – September 23

Hasbro is challenging families to turn off the television on Wednesday, gather family and friends, and play games. Whether it be old classics like Monopoly or new games like Monopoly City or Connect 4×4, your family and friends will enjoy spending time together, and you’ll be surprised how much fun and laughter is involved when you get a group together to play games. As you can tell from these pictures of our games, we love to spend quality family time together playing board games. We are pretty big video game and board game fans so we try to do some of each every week together. This week, September 23, is Hasbro National Family Game Night where Hasbro asks you to unplug the electronics and get back to the basic … Read entire article »

Review: All Star Buddies

Cameron is constantly on the search for new sites for her to play games on that I will ok and one of those sites that have received my stamp of approval is All Star Buddies. This is a site for sports fans – and with Cameron playing softball and sometimes basketball, it is one that Cameron can enjoy. All Star Buddies is a sports-themed virtual world where kids can play their favorite sports in the comfort of home (and you don’t have to worry about balls breaking your precious treasures). The town in All Star Buddies is Varsity Heights. The characters are in the shapes of animated sports balls: … Read entire article »

Big Bang Mini

I was recently sent a new DS game to try and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Usually Cameron (my 8 year old) and I like different types of games, but this time we agree that this one gets a “2 thumbs up.” Which game? Big Bang Mini from SouthPeak games. Our DS had almost started sitting on the shelf, but when this game came in, we have started using it daily again. We’ve actually been trying to outdo each other so it’s made for some fun mother-daughter bonding. Her and my teenager (Becka) both have DS’s (I just borrow one of theirs) and have loved that they can both play the game in multi-player mode but only have to have one game. There are … Read entire article »

Bella Sara – Pokemon For Girls?

Last week, my mom mentioned that I had a package at her house from Team Mom. After we discussed her holding my packages and forgetting to tell me or bring them to me, she produced the package. I was totally impressed from the time I opened the package and saw the Bella Sara cards. They were so cute. When I showed them to Cameron, I found out that other girls in her class had brought these to school and she had “always wanted them.” I asked her how they worked and she explained to me that the girls brought them to school and traded them during recess. I immediately remembered when my little brothers use to load up their Pokemon cards and take them to … Read entire article »
