Topricin Giveaway
You may remember my recent post about the many uses of Topricin. Topricin is a natural pain reliever ointment that can be used for so many purposes – from fibromyalgia, arthritis, lower back and shoulder pain, sciaticca, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and trauma and sports injuries. Their Topricin Junior Pain Relief ointment is good for injuries, bruises, sprains, cramps and muscle aches, bug bites, minor burns, and overall growing pains. In addition with both poison ivy and the popularity of ticks (thus lyme disease) being active this year, you’ll enjoy knowing that Topricin is also good for treating both. Review: Caring Corners Daisy Greenway Interactive Camper
With the holiday season fast approaching, you are probably looking for unique ideas for the little ones on your list. As my daughter gets older, I find that I have a harder time buying for our younger children on our list. One of my best friends has a daughter that is younger and when we have the opportunity to review a new toy that Cameron thinks might be “too young” for her. When we received our Caring Corners Daisy Greenway, I immediately thought that I knew just who would like to help me with this review, and I made the phone call, and we scheduled a playdate. She was so excited because not only did we receive camper, but she also got the chance to play with 2 accessories – the … Read entire article »

Road Trip = BORED?
With labor day coming up (for many the official end of summer), I know many families are planning their final summer trips – and for many of us that means ROAD TRIP! Labor Day weekend always means one thing for my family – a trip to Dallas for my nephew’s birthday party. Many cars now come with plenty of entertainment for their children, and if not you can buy portable DVD players and video games to entertain your child. My daughter does have a DS, but for the most part we still focus on seeing the world outside of the car. We play games where we see how many different state license plates we can find, look for “slug bugs,” and our latest game is looking for yellow cars. While all … Read entire article »

Review & Giveaway: MolliCoolz Shakers
This summer I banned our local ice cream/hamburger shop. It’s a national chain and I won’t say any names, but I grew up eating there once a week with my grandfather. It’s always been a favorite, but lately it seems like every time we go, their prices have increased. The last time I went, I was home alone and feeling lazy so I called them up and ordered a chicken strip basket (a regular 4 piece with no drink or ice cream). I drove to town, pulled through the drive thru and was almost in complete shock when the teenager wanted EIGHT BUCKS! ok…so their food is good, but IT’S NOT THAT GOOD! I’ve done ok without going by every couple weeks, but Cameron has been missing her ice cream … Read entire article »

Organizational Idea for Your Purses
Are you a purse collector? I’ve never thought of myself as one, but it seems over the years, I have collected a lot of purses. As a teacher though, I’ve found what has really accumulated are my “teacher bags.” I’m not sure what non teachers call these (tote bags?), but I have my bag for bringing student papers back and forth, and then there’s my Saturday debate bag. Of course I also have a current reads bag where I store books I’ m wanting to read and consider adding to my curriulum. Then there’s the softball mom bag, and I’ve got a Friday Night Football bag too. Seriously teachers have a tote for EVERYTHING, and I can’t seem to get enough. Every time I go shopping, I check … Read entire article »

Inkheart
Have you read this book? I’ve read it myself several times as I’ve read it with groups of students. I’m so excited to know that a movie is now coming out about this book. This is as exciting to me as many were about the Twilight movie. And I’m even more excited to learn that Brenden Fraser will be the star of Inkheart. I have loved his performance for many years. I love each of the Mummy movies, but I think I first became a Fraser fan in 1993 when he played in Son In Law. We actually have that movie on DVD and I stil pull it out and watch it from time to time. Cameron loves to watch him as George of the Jungle. If … Read entire article »
