The Facts: 43 Million Americans Smoke Seventy percent of smokers in America want to quit, but only about five percent of smokers are successful in quitting long-term. Most people just don’t know how to quit. Surprised? I was. I know that smoking is addictive, but the fact that many people want to quit but can’t? I’m blown away.
