I was recently discussing with a group of online friends how when we were young, we spent at least half the summer outside, and now if you walk out in many neighborhoods, you see no signs of children (even if you know your neighbors have kids).  Why? Because so many are instead inside playing on their game systems, watching tv/movies, or online. In fact, U.S. children spend 50% less time outdoors than 20 years ago.
