I started watching Rizzoli & Isles from the first show last season and was instantly hooked.  It was only today though that I realized it was based on a book series by Tess Gerritsen.  And since discovering that I’ve ordered the first three books.  I love watching Maura and Jane and the way they work together and pull together as friends even though they came from such different backgrounds.  I think this has appealed to me from day one as some of my best friends and I are from such different backgrounds.
