Trigger Tuesday Giveaway

The Facts:
- 43 Million Americans Smoke
- Seventy percent of smokers in America want to quit, but only about five percent of smokers are successful in quitting long-term. Most people just don’t know how to quit.
Surprised? I was. I know that smoking is addictive, but the fact that many people want to quit but can’t? I’m blown away.
There are many tools out there for smokers who are looking to quit now, medication, the patch, etc, but there is also now an online tool: BecomeAnEX.org.
BecomeAnEX.org is a free online “QUIT” plan. It is a community-based quit smoking program which provides evidence-based tools to help smokers quit. It provides a platform for smokers who want to quit to share their successes and challenges in the difficult quitting process. Become An Ex teaches smokers how to “re-learn” life without cigarettes. Developed in partnership with Mayo Clinic, as well as input from ex-smokers, EX is a new way to think about quitting that can help smokers become an EX for good. And the best part about EX…..IT’S FREE!
If you would like to quit smoking, consider joining BecomeAnEx where you will learn the truth vs. myths about nicotine, smoking and addiction, identify personal “smoking triggers”- habits that make you want to smoke, “practice” and deal with their ‘smoking triggers” without reaching for a light, and find online support groups and various communities that will serve as your own personal therapist, your quit buddy, and your friend.
I’m lucky enough that I’ve never become a smoker so I have never had to experience the difficulty of quitting. My weakness? Cherry Coke. Maybe not as harmful immediately, but in the long run, I know that it is adding on the pounds which can then lead to health problems. I keep thinking I’ll cut back or quit, and I’ll get down to one or two a day, and then bam! next thing I know, I’m drinking 4 or 5 a day again.
And now to the part you’ve been waiting on? What could I be giving away if the service is free? Well BecomeAnEx has put together an awesome gift pack for TWO of my readers. It is called the EX “Quit Pack” and includes a backpack, air freshener, trigger cards and stickers, a cup holder, a re-learn booklet and EX instructions. This would be a great gift for yourself or anyone else that you know that is wanting to make that all important move to quit smoking.

I used to bite my nails, that was really hard to stop, thanks!
I smoke and although not as much as I used to I haven’t actually tried to quit; however, I think it would be quite challenging in part because my wife also smokes.
I have been battling smoking for a long time. I want to quit but it never seems like a good time, I always use stress as an out. As soon as things calm down, the kids go back to school, the stress subsides…always something. I know how badly I need to stop but need the right assistance.
Thank you for the entry,

i am an over-eater. I have spent most of my life trying to break that habit. I find that the best I can do is over- eat healthy things.

I have a horrible habit of biting my nails. I have tried to put like nail polish on them so they taste bad; that doesn’t work. I now try to think of all the disgusting things I touch during the day, which then goes into my mouth. It’s gross.
I have a bad habit of smoking and I have tried to quit before, but it is hard since it helps calm my nerves
